Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-04-30
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Doctalytics (“DataPath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the DataPath platform, websites, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-product or by email and you will be asked to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not intended for children under 16.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@datapathlearn.com if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or any underlying infrastructure;
- upload, run, or transmit malicious code, malware, or content that infringes the rights of others;
- submit real personal data of yourself or others (including real names, emails, financial details, or production data) into code exercises, datasets, or challenge submissions;
- scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute course content, datasets, videos, or other materials without our written permission;
- circumvent quotas, rate limits, paywalls, or other technical access controls.
5. Your content and code submissions
You retain ownership of any code, text, or other content you submit through the Service (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant DataPath a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, execute, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service for you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate operational purposes (for example, secure backups or fraud prevention).
You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or contain real personal data of others.
6. Educational purpose; not professional advice
DataPath provides educational content and exercises about data engineering, programming, and analytics. The Service is not accredited and does not confer a qualification, certification, or professional licence. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, medical, career, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your circumstances.
7. Simulated data and fictional scenarios
Course datasets, company names (including “Nexus Dare Analytics”), employees, projects, and scenarios used in lessons are fictional and have been generated for educational purposes. Any resemblance to real persons, companies, or events is coincidental. Datasets must not be relied upon for any decision outside the learning context.
8. Third-party services and content
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (for example, video hosting, authentication providers, and infrastructure providers). Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third parties.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including course materials, text, graphics, logos, videos, code samples (other than Your Content), and software, is owned by Doctalytics or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the Service for your own learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
10. Fees and refunds
Some features may be offered on a paid basis in future. If and when paid plans become available, the applicable fees, billing cycle, and refund policy will be disclosed at the point of purchase and will form part of these Terms by reference. We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue paid features and pricing on prospective notice.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your use of the Service poses a risk to us or to other users, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions which by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 15) will continue in effect.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Doctalytics, its officers, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred (100) units of the local currency.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Doctalytics from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) Your Content; or (c) your use of the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of United Kingdom will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms, except that consumers may bring proceedings in the courts of the jurisdiction in which they reside, where required by mandatory consumer-protection law.
